Beyond formal education, as a process, aims to develop an active civic attitude in participants through art research and cultural activism, complementing the existing university curriculum through interactive seminars and thematic workshops and through an international course of contemporary art and curating, accompanied by informational sessions, research visits, a course on critical analysis of works of art, a round table on the topic of higher art education and a series of events and presentations accessible to the wider audience.
We regularly organize presentations and invite artists, architects, researchers to meet the students of Art Academy and of Technical University / Architecture department in the frame of organized seminars and workshops.
The Zpace project space, as a platform for supporting and presenting contemporary art practices and promoting civic activism, appeared on the cultural map of Chisinau in 2013, with the aim of building a community and providing open spaces for independent cultural initiatives in Moldova.
